The Man With Many Ideas

I’m know around my friends and colleagues, as “the idea man” mainly because I exhibit a form of thinking that I like to call machine gun brainstorming. What this means is that instead of waiting patiently for a single good shot (idea) as say a sniper would, I tend to fire as many possible ideas as possible in the direction of my enemy, figuring that one of those mental bullets will land.

This technique has it’s pros & cons to it. A positive is that, I almost always come up with an idea that makes sense. However, the downside is that because i tend to start working on so much at once, it often takes me more time than it should to follow through with an idea.

In fact, right now the idea to create this blog post & share it with you is interfering with a training course that I’m supposed to be working on.

Something that I need to work on is getting better at setting priorities. If I can prioritize and organize myself, then I have a better shot at getting the important tasks completed first. I don’t think there’s any getting past my “shiny thing syndrome” but I can learn how to manage it better.

Thanks for taking the time to read my words & if you enjoyed it, I’d appreciate it if you hit that heart button below ❤
