Remember Where You Started From

This morning I received a tweet from an old trading buddy of mine. This friend doesn’t tweet too often but when he does, I make sure to read it. The tweet was of an old blog post that I had written back in 2011 for a website titled “I Am Business” (man I feel embarrassed!)

The website was originally created by myself & a few childhood friends, with the intention of spreading positive vibes. At the time we had just graduated college and were struggling to make it in this world so we made a pact to share something positive with each other on a daily basis. In fact I believe that the original name of the site was “Good Vibes.” As trading started to consume more of my life, if was reflected in my content until I eventually went on to start a trading specific site.

Throughout my career I’ve dealt with a lot of ups & downs, yet despite the hurdles, one thing has stayed constant. My ability to focus on the positive, not only to inspire and motivate others, but to inspire and motivate myself as well.

I think it’s important to always remember where you come from and make sure that as a person you’re sticking to your core principles & beliefs no matter which path the world takes you down.

I’ve changed a lot in the past 6 years, but it’s great to see that at the root of things, I’m exactly who I’ve always been.
