Diary of a Trader 6.28: Shocked To Find Out That…
As I quickly put some of the numbers together for today’s Trading Edge video I was shocked to discover that June was a profitable month. Now if you’ve been following my work for any time now then it shouldn’t be any surprise to hear that I’m clueless about my results, but due to a very difficult stretch of trading in the middle of the month I just assumed that I’d finish breakeven at best.
Looking at the graphic above you can see that although it was profitable, it wasn’t sexy at all. As I told our traders in the video, this was one of those grind it out months which felt like a 12 round boxing match where you get just as much as you give but some how end with your hand raised in the air.
THIS IS THE REALITY OF TRADING! Yes we all go through hot streaks during the year but the majority of the time it’s a frustrating grind. A grind that only the mentally tough are built to withstand.
